Just wanted to share my experience with the new update. I’m from Romania and my P6 is a Vodafone-Locked phone.
I was thinking to wait until Vodafone pushed the new update so it could be more official (phone is still in warranty and didn’t want to risk) but after looking around I found that Huawei Romania added the new official update to their website. It is available here: http:///user/content/software/EDGE-U00-V100R001C00B510_Firmware_Android%204-4_EMUI–2-
As a remark you should know I was using the latest update pushed by Vodafone in my country, that is: P6-U06V100R001C00B610.
So here are the steps I did:
– I first backed-up my phone with the built-in app (phone is not rooted or anything);
– after downloading the B510 from I just copied the extracted folder to my root sd-card. The path was: ./dload/;
– finally I used the local update option from my phone and after the entire process everything is OK.
